What is Dysport/Xeomin?
Dysport/Xeomin has the ability to relax muscles into which it is injected. This relaxation may be partial or complete, depending on the amount of Dysport/Xeomin used and on the relative strength of the muscle into which it is injected. The relaxation produced by Dysport/Xeomin can last up to 3-6 months
Other areas which can be improved with Dysport/Xeomin are the crow’s feet and the horizontal forehead lines. Because of Danielle O’Neill’s skills and experience, certain lip lines, smile lines along the side of the nose, and droopy corners of the mouth may also be improved with Dysport/Xeomin.
Who is a candidate for Dysport/Xeomin?
Any person who wishes to minimize the aging process around the eyes and forehead region with minimal down time is an appropriate candidate for Dysport/Xeomin injections. Dysport/Xeomin is not recommended for women who are pregnant or are nursing.
What other cosmetic treatments may be combined with Dysport/Xeomin?
One of the greatest combination treatments involves the simultaneous use of Dysport/Xeomin and Restylane. With this combo treatment, an “instant face lift” may be achieved by using Dysport/Xeomin in the brow and forehead region, and Restylane around the mouth, lips, and smile lines.
Does it hurt?
Typically no anesthetic is needed for Dysport/Xeomin injections. A small amount of Dysport/Xeomin is administered using a very fine needle. Most patients experience very minimal discomfort. Anesthetic creams and special cooling devices are available to increase your comfort.
When will I see results? How long will the results last?
Typically, it takes 4-5 days for the Dysport/Xeomin to start to take effect, but it may take up to 2 weeks for its full effect. Results generally last between 3-6 months. As you notice the effects of the Dysport/Xeomin wearing off call us and schedule your next appointment.
